Reception for August Featured Artist

The Sackets Harbor Arts Center will recognize Beth White as the Featured Artist for August with a reception on Saturday, Aug 5, from 1 to 4 pm, at the Arts Association of Northern New York (AANNY) building at 119 West Main Street.

A native of the Thousand Islands and resident of Sackets Harbor, Beth’s work captures the essence of life on the river. Last year, she won first place in acrylics at the Sackets Harbor Arts Center’s Spring Art Show with her piece titled “Ice Fishing.” Her painting “Lake Celebration” was selected by the Pittsfield, MA Commission of Disabilities for use in its brochures, posters, and billboards. Beth primarily works with acrylic paints, due to their versatility and vibrance, and she enjoys the freedom of expression acrylics, and art in general, allow.

The Sackets Harbor Arts Center will display Beth’s work throughout the month of August. The gallery is open on Wednesdays and Sundays, from 10 am to 4 pm, and on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 10 am to 7 pm.
