Sons of the American Legion Fall Bash

The Sons of the American Legion of Sackets Harbor and Dexter will host a Fall Bash on Saturday, Sept 24, from noon to 4 pm, at the Dexter American Legion, located at 105 East Bronson Street in Dexter. Come celebrate the arrival of fall with family, friends, and great food, while raising money for a great cause!

The Sons of the American Legion of Sackets Harbor, Post #1757, and Dexter, Post #583, are hosting the event to raise money for the Honor Flight for Veterans program. Honor Flights transport US military veterans to view the memorials of the respective war(s) they fought in Washington, DC, at no cost to the veterans. Supported by non-profit organizations, American Legions, and the public, the program currently focuses on bringing veterans of World War II to the National World War II Memorial and veterans suffering from terminal illness to the memorial of the war in which they fought.

This first Fall Bash will feature a Clambake and BBQ buffet, Liquor Wheel, Cake Walk, and Raffle; and tickets are $50 per person. On the menu for the Clambake and BBQ buffet are clams, hamburgers, hot dogs, and salads. In addition to musical entertainment, the event will also feature a Cornhole Tournament, and the entry fee is $20 per person.

All proceeds from the Fall Bash will support the Honor Flight for Veterans program.
