Spend the weekend strolling historic Sackets Harbor’s sidewalks, and enjoy an array of colorful quilts displayed on porches, at local businesses, the Village Hall, Hay Memorial Library, and select historic sites across the community. Hay Memorial Library holds this event to celebrate the beautiful artistry of quilts and the artisans who create them.
The Sackets Harbor Quilt Show: Patchwork on the Porch is a Hay Memorial Library Community Heritage Program, and this year it will be on display for the community on Saturday, Oct 1, from 10 am to 4 pm, and on Sunday, Oct 2, from noon to 4 pm. The theme for this year is “A Change of Season,” and the featured artist for 2022 is Vicki Wilson. All the quilts featured reflect seasonal change in some fashion.
If you’d like to view the quilts and tour the exhibits and demos by the Thousand Island Art Center, the North Country Bird Club, and more, the Library will offer passports for $4 at the Village Hall and Hay Memorial Library. The quilts, exhibits, and demos will be on display at:
Patchwork on the Porch is sponsored by Hay Memorial Library and made possible by the Village of Sackets Harbor.
