A Mid-Summer Story Walk

The Sackets Harbor Battlefield will host A Mid-Summer Story Walk, sponsored by the Hay Memorial Library, on Saturday, July 23, from 10 to 1 pm, featuring the children’s book, “It Began with Lemonade,” by Gideon Sterer.

Walk along the outside of Memorial Grove at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site to find out what happens in this wild tale about a lemonade stand! The Story Walk begins at the main entrance of the Battlefield, and continues along the walking path with pages to read at points along the way.

The Library will present Take and Make craft kits to the first 35 children who finish the story, so arrive early and enjoy the story AND the walk!
