SUMMARY:18.12 Challenge and Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The Village of Sackets Harbor will host the 13th annual 18.12 Challenge and Half Marathon on Sunday\, June 28\, beginning at 7:30 am. The event starts and ends at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield\, at 504 West Main Street. \nAccept the challenge! The Sunday event is either an 18.12-mile run or a 13.1-mile\, half marathon run that starts and ends at the historic Battlefield in Sackets Harbor and loops around the picturesque village and shoreline in between. Thanks to their sponsors\, the organizers are also offering a 5 Mile Run plus a 5K Run and Walk on Saturday\, June 27\, beginning and ending near the 1812 Brewing Company. \nFor anyone looking for an extra challenge\, they can register to participate in multiple races at a discount. Participants who complete these multi-race challenges will receive an additional medal to commemorate their achievements. \nThe registration fees for the Half Marathon begin at $73\, and the full 18.12 Challenge fees begin at $94. SUMMARY:Concerts on the Waterfront: The Sacci Band
DESCRIPTION:The Sackets Harbor Historical Society will kick-off its 2026 Concerts on the Waterfront series with The Sacci Band\, performing on Sunday\, June 28\, from 3 to 5 pm\, at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield\, located at 504 West Main Street. \nThe Sacci Band is a beloved group from Watertown that formed nearly 50 years ago. The band is dedicated to the performance of popular jazz styles from the “Golden Age of Swing.” \nThe Historical Society’s Concerts on the Waterfront series run on Sunday afternoons\, from June 28 through Sept 6\, 2026. Like all those in the series\, this concert is free and open to the public. It’s held outdoors at the Battlefield\, so remember to pack your picnic blanket or lawn chairs. \nIn case of bad weather\, the concerts will be moved to the Parish Center at St. Andrew’s Church\, which is located at the corner of East Main and Woolsey Streets.
