DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the longest day of the year in Sackets Harbor during the 3rd annual Summer Solstice 5k on Saturday\, June 20\, from 8:30 to 10:30 am. The race will begin in front of the Sentinel Bandstand\, in downtown Sackets Harbor\, make a loop along the waterfront\, and conclude back at the Bandstand. \nThis fun\, yet rewarding 5k will travel through beautiful Sackets Harbor\, and as The Beatles say\, participants will be following the sun. Fronted by a powerful female vocalist and rhythm guitarist\, the band features expressive lead guitar\, dynamic keys and harmonies\, heartfelt bass\, and a drummer with the deepest pocket.\n\n \n5 pm: McKinley James is equal parts old soul and modern man. Armed with an electric guitar and sharp songwriting chops\, he breathes new life into classic sounds with Working Class Blues\, his debut album\, that introduced his mix of American rock & roll\, amplified soul\, and raw rhythm & blues.\n\nThe Live at the Bandstand concert is free\, and the public is welcome to attend. The concert will be outside at Market Square Park in Sackets Harbor\, so pack your picnic blankets and lawn chairs\, and enjoy an early summer day filled with live music! SUMMARY:Concerts on the Waterfront: The Sacci Band
DESCRIPTION:The Sackets Harbor Historical Society will kick-off its 2026 Concerts on the Waterfront series with The Sacci Band\, performing on Sunday\, June 28\, from 3 to 5 pm\, at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield\, located at 504 West Main Street. \nThe Sacci Band is a beloved group from Watertown that formed nearly 50 years ago. The band is dedicated to the performance of popular jazz styles from the “Golden Age of Swing.” \nThe Historical Society’s Concerts on the Waterfront series run on Sunday afternoons\, from June 28 through Sept 6\, 2026. Like all those in the series\, this concert is free and open to the public. It’s held outdoors at the Battlefield\, so remember to pack your picnic blanket or lawn chairs. \nIn case of bad weather\, the concerts will be moved to the Parish Center at St. Andrew’s Church\, which is located at the corner of East Main and Woolsey Streets. SUMMARY:1812 Lacrosse Shootout Boys Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The Village of Sackets Harbor will host the 33rd annual 1812 Lacrosse Shootout Tournament over two weeks in July 2026 for boys and girls teams\, at Madison Barracks. \nTournament play for the boys club teams is on Friday and Saturday\, July 10 and 11\, and the boys school teams play on Sunday\, July 12\, at the Madison Barracks Parade Grounds. Participants may also opt to join the North Country Lacrosse Camp happening the following week\, on July 13\, 14\, and 15\, to improve their skills with the help of an elite coaching staff. \nLacrosse tournament play continues the following weekend\, with the girls school teams playing on Saturday\, July 18\, and the girls club teams playing on Sunday\, July 19\, at the Madison Barracks Parade Grounds. \nBegun in 1992 with just eight teams\, the 1812 Lacrosse Shootout Tournament has grown into the premier lacrosse event in the northeast\, with nearly 300 boys and girls teams participating. Like all those in the series\, this concert is free and open to the public. It’s held outdoors at the Battlefield\, so remember to pack your picnic blanket or lawn chairs. \nIn case of bad weather\, the concerts will be moved to the Parish Center at St. Andrew’s Church\, which is located at the corner of East Main and Woolsey Streets. DESCRIPTION:Prep for the Boston Marathon with a challenging qualifier race at the 4th annual Sackets Harbor Marathon and Half Marathon on Sunday\, Sept 6\, at 7 am\, beginning and ending at the Madison Barracks Polo Grounds in Sackets Harbor. \nAfter a fantastic debut in 2023 with more than 500 participants and increasing numbers of runners each year since\, the Sackets Harbor Marathon and Half Marathon is back for its fourth year! The organizers have designed a scenic race course that travels through the picturesque Village of Sackets Harbor and along Lake Ontario. The course is an out-and-back route with a gentle elevation gain\, which then heads back downhill towards the finish line. \nThe full marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier\, and both the full and the half marathon are certified courses. The full marathon course is 26.2 miles\, and the half marathon is 13.1 miles. \nRegistration is $129 for the half marathon and $139 for the full marathon\, and discounts are available for early registration and military/first responders.
