SUMMARY:Live at the Bandstand Music Festival
DESCRIPTION:Live at the Bandstand is excited to announce its 5th annual music festival on Saturday\, June 27\, at the Sackets Harbor Sentinel Bandstand\, located at 304 West Main Street. \nThis year’s event features two headlining acts: \n\n3 pm: Rae the Band is a soulful NYC group blending 60s soul\, electric blues\, and classic rock through original songs and curated covers. Inspired by legends and modern greats alike\, the group aims to carry that legacy to a new generation. Fronted by a powerful female vocalist and rhythm guitarist\, the band features expressive lead guitar\, dynamic keys and harmonies\, heartfelt bass\, and a drummer with the deepest pocket.\n\n \n5 pm: McKinley James is equal parts old soul and modern man. Armed with an electric guitar and sharp songwriting chops\, he breathes new life into classic sounds with Working Class Blues\, his debut album\, that introduced his mix of American rock & roll\, amplified soul\, and raw rhythm & blues.\n\nThe Live at the Bandstand concert is free\, and the public is welcome to attend. The concert will be outside at Market Square Park in Sackets Harbor\, so pack your picnic blankets and lawn chairs\, and enjoy an early summer day filled with live music! While you’re there\, you can also enjoy food by Elm Street Tacos and drinks by the 1812 Brewing Company\, an award-winning local brewery. \nIn case of inclement weather\, the event will move indoors to 1812 on the River in Watertown\, NY. (The location will be confirmed on Facebook and Instagram on Thursday\, June 25th.) \nThis music event is sponsored by Live at the Bandstand Inc\, a not-for-profit organization started by Ingrid Cleveland Gori in memory of her father\, local resident John Cleveland\, who ran the village’s annual Jazz Fest until 2008.
