Can-Am Festival

Saturday and Sunday, July 19 and 20, 2025

The Village of Sackets Harbor and the Town of Hounsfield are proud to host the 53rd annual Can-Am Festival this summer. The event commemorates the close relationship between Canada and the United States, and this year’s celebration is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 19 and 20, 2025.

This year’s festival is packed with free attractions, including a wine and beer garden, food and craft market, an aerial and static military display, parade, speedster challenge, games, vintage baseball, fireworks, and more! We’ve also got a full musical line-up, featuring the bands DownBeat Percussion, Cluster Funk, Full Circle, ATLAS, and Josh Cox and the Rattle Snakes. Here’s the full schedule:

Saturday, July 19

  • 10:00 am – Festival Opens
  • 10:00 am – 6:00 pm – Food, craft, beer & wine garden, and a farmers’ market throughout downtown
  • 11:00 am – Jeff Boyer’s Big Bubble Bonanza in front of the Sentinel Bandstand on W Main St
  • 12:00 pm – Military Flyover
  • 12:00 pm – Can-Am Festival Parade, beginning at Sackets Harbor Central School and traveling along South Broad and West Main Streets
  • 1:00 pm – 10th Mountain Division Aerial Display – Helicopters fly in and land at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site, Red Barn Lawn (near the Hill St parking lot)
  • 1:00 pm – 10th Mountain Division Static Display – Military Vehicles, at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site, W Main St Lawn
  • 1:45 pm – Downbeat Percussion performance after the parade, in front of the Bandstand on W Main St
  • 2:00 – 4:00 pm – Musical Performance by Cluster Funk on the Main Stage, on the Visitor Center Lawn
  • 2:30 pm – Speedster Challenge – Adult and kids divisions, at the intersection of W Main St and Gen Smith Drive
  • 2:30 – 7:30 pm – Bounce House & Other Inflatables, on W Main St, near the Visitor Center
  • 4:30 – 6:30 pm – Musical Performance by Full Circle on the Main Stage, on the Visitor Center Lawn
  • 7:00 – 10:00 pm – Musical Performance by Josh Cox and the Rattle Snakes on the Main Stage, VC Lawn
  • 10:00 pm – Fireworks Spectacular over the Harbor (the best place to view it from is the Visitor Center Lawn)

Sunday, July 20

  • 10:00 am – Festival Opens
  • 10:00 am – 3:00 pm – Food, craft, beer & wine garden, and a farmers’ market throughout downtown
  • 10:00 am – 3:00 pm – Bounce House & Other Inflatables, on W Main St, near the Visitor Center
  • 10:00 am – Frying Pan Toss on the Visitor Center Lawn
  • 10:00 am – 2:00 pm – SUNDAY FUNDAY with various outdoor games including Hungry Hungry Hippos, Bocce, Flickin’ Chicken, and etc. on the Visitor Center Lawn
  • 10:30 am – 2:30 pm – Caricature Drawings by Joe Ferris Art, free at the Sentinel Bandstand
  • 11:00 am – 2:00 pm – Vintage Baseball Game at Sackets Harbor Central School athletic field
  • 12:30 pm – Cornhole Tournament, on the Visitor Center Lawn
  • 3:00 – 5:00 pm – Concert on the Waterfront, by ATLAS, at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site (sponsored by the Sackets Harbor Historical Society)
