Augustus Sacket

Located in village founder Augustus Sacket’s historic home, the Sackets Harbor Visitor Center offers exhibits highlighting local history, key sites and architectural features, and the story of the village. Travel and tourism information is available on-site for Sackets Harbor area attractions, tours, and events, as well as travel information for the Greater 1000 Islands and North Country regions.

Sackets Harbor Visitor Center

The Sackets Harbor Visitor Center is now closed for the winter, but we can open for tour groups by appointment, and we’ll also be opening to support some of the Village’s upcoming events. Here’s our off-season schedule so far:


Wonderland in the Harbor
  • Saturday, Nov 19, from 10 am to 4 pm
  • Sunday, Nov 20, from 10 am to 3 pm


Yuletide Celebration & Christmas Stroll
  • Saturday, Dec 10, hours TBD

Along with the Village’s story and history, the Visitor Center offers a wealth of information on what’s happening in the area and tourism information for our region and beyond.
