Augustus Sacket
Located in village founder Augustus Sacket’s historic home, the Sackets Harbor Visitor Center offers exhibits highlighting local history, key sites and architectural features, and the story of the village. Travel and tourism information is available on-site for Sackets Harbor area attractions, tours, and events, as well as travel information for the Greater 1000 Islands and North Country regions.

The Sackets Harbor Visitor Center is now open again for the 2023 season! Here’s our schedule for the spring, summer, and fall:
May 6 through June 23, 2023
- Saturdays, from 11 am to 4 pm
- Sundays, from 11 am to 4 pm
June 24 through Sept 4, 2023
- Mondays, from 11 am to 4 pm
- Tuesdays, from 11 am to 4 pm
- Closed on Wednesdays
- Thursdays, from 11 am to 4 pm
- Fridays, from 11 am to 4 pm
- Saturdays, from 11 am to 4 pm
- Sundays, from 11 am to 4 pm

Along with the Village’s story and history, the Visitor Center offers a wealth of information on what’s happening in the area and tourism information for our region and beyond. Check out our “What’s Happening in Sackets” whiteboard right near the entrance for a full list of activities offered on the day and during the week of your visit.
