Can-Am Festival

Saturday and Sunday, July 16 and 17, 2022

The Village of Sackets Harbor and the Town of Hounsfield are proud to host the 50th annual Can-Am Festival this summer. The event commemorates the close relationship between Canada and the United States, and this year’s celebration is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 16 and 17, 2022.

This year’s festival is packed with free attractions, including a wine garden, food and craft market, flower market, vintage baseball, speedster challenge, kite festival, parade, games, give-aways, fireworks, and more! We’ve also got a full musical line-up, featuring the bands Last Left and the Blue Coupe (made up of several of the original members of the Blue Oyster Cult). Here’s the full schedule, which we’ll be adding to as events are announced:

Saturday, July 16

  • 10:00 am – Festival Opens; food, craft, wine garden & farmers’ market open until 6 pm
  • 11:15 am – Aerial arts performance by CirqOvation
  • 12:00 pm – Canadian/American flyover
  • 12:00 pm – Can-Am Festival Parade
  • 1:00 pm – Kite Festival at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site
  • 1:45 pm – Downbeat Percussion (after parade performance)
  • 2:00 pm – Speedster Challenge – Adult and kids divisions
  • 2:30 pm – Human Foosball & Bouncys (until 7:30 pm)
  • 4:30 pm – Blue Coupe performance on the Main Stage at the Visitor Center Lawn
  • 7:15 pm – Last Left performance on the Main Stage at the Visitor Center Lawn
  • 10:00 pm – Fireworks Spectacular over the Harbor

Sunday, July 17

  • 10:00 am – Festival Opens; food, craft, wine garden & farmers’ market open until 3 pm
  • 10:00 am – Frying Pan Toss at the Visitor Center Lawn
  • 11:00 am – Cornhole Tournament at the Visitor Center Lawn
  • 11:00 am – Vintage Baseball at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site
  • 3:00 pm – Concert on the Waterfront by ATLAS at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site (sponsored by the Sackets Harbor Historical Society)
