August Featured Artist at the Arts Center

The Arts Association of Northern New York (AANNY) is showcasing the work of Local Painter Richard Wood as the August featured artist at the Sackets Harbor Arts Center at 119 West Main Street.

Born in Syracuse, Wood lived and worked in New York City for 25 years, and he learned to paint by visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, The Guggenheim, and the Frick Collection to see how the great masters created their works. Later in his career, he relocated to Henderson Harbor, where he still lives and paints in his own studio.

Visitors can see Richard Wood’s work on display during the Arts Center’s regular hours:

• Sunday through Wednesday, from 10 am to 4 pm
• Thursday through Saturday, from 10 am to 7 pm
