The Brew York Festival returns to Madison Barracks in Sackets Harbor for its seventh year on Saturday, Aug 26, 2023, from noon to 10 pm, celebrating outdoor music, craft beer, and artisan food. This year, Brew York will feature two stages to showcase the multitude of talent they’re bringing to the area.
Amid the natural beauty of Lake Ontario and the iconic history of Madison Barracks, Brew York aims to provide the ultimate festival atmosphere for the artists, fans, and community to enjoy. Each year, the festival includes bands performing a variety of genres, including Rock/Southern Rock, Alt Rock/Post Grunge, Country, Soul/Neo Soul, Folk Rock/Americana, Funk, and Dance.
The headlining artists for 2023 are The Cold Stares and The Georgia Thunderbolts:
The Cold Stares is an American rock band from Evansville, Indiana that formed in 2009. Sometimes performing as a duo and sometimes as a trio, the band has independently released four studio albums, including their latest album “Voices.”
The Georgia Thunderbolts is an American rock band from Rome, Georgia that formed in 2015. They’ve released one album, “Can We Get A Witness,” with one single — “Be Good to Yourself” — selected by both Rolling Stone Magazine and Classic Rock Magazine as a best song of the week in 2021.
The Brew York supporting acts include:
In between musical sets, attendees can play a round of cornhole, have their faces painted, get a henna tattoo, bounce in the bounce houses, and enjoy free samples, tastings (from 1 to 4 pm), and more from more than 30 area breweries, wineries, and distilleries.
The festival will also feature a variety of other vendors, such as maple and honey farms, wood workers, candle makers, and more. And so no one goes away hungry, Brew York will offer a variety of food options from eight local food truck vendors.
For anyone who’d like the luxury festival experience, Brew York will have two VIP areas available, complete with catered food, private bars, whiskey tastings, air conditioned areas, and more.

As in previous years, all proceeds benefit the Sackets Harbor Volunteer Fire Company and First Responders/EMTs. Plus, proceeds from the Festival and Brew York ROCC Wear/Apparel will benefit the Horning family and their son, Harrison. Help Brew York “Rock Out Childhood Cancer” (ROCC)!
