Community Visioning Conversations (Part 3 of 3)
Share your vision for the future of Sackets Harbor at this third of three Community Visioning Conversations on Thursday, May 28, at 6 pm, at the Sackets Harbor Central School’s (SHCS) Multi-Purpose Room (MPR), at 215 South Broad Street.
Organized by the new Sackets Harbor Heritage Area Visioning Committee, the purpose of the event is to gather feedback and opinions from community residents on the current state and future vision for Sackets Harbor. The committee will share information on what’s happening in the community now and listen to residents’ views and ideas for the village going forward.
The May 28th event is the third of three Community Visioning Conversations this month, and each event has a different topic. Here are the details of all three events:
- Wednesday, May 6, at 6 pm, at the SHCS MPR; the topic is Recreation, Housing, and Resource Development
- Thursday, May 21, at 6 pm, at the SHCS MPR; the topic is Preservation and Zoning
- Thursday, May 28, at 6 pm, at the SHCS MPR; the topic is Madison Barracks: Connections and Support
All three conversations will be run by Fred Schmitt, a professional facilitator based in Clayton. All members of the community are encouraged to attend these free conversations and make their voices heard. Please also keep an eye out for a Community Survey, which will be posted online soon.
For more information on these events, please email Dave Altieri, the Sackets Harbor Heritage Area Director.
