The Sackets Harbor Historical Society will continue its 2025 Concerts on the Waterfront series with Li’l Anne and Hot Cayenne, performing on Sunday, Aug 17, from 3 to 5 pm, at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield, located at 504 West Main Street.

Li’l Anne and Hot Cayenne is one of the top zydeco bands in the northeastern United States. The current lineup of the group includes Anne Stork on accordion, Peter Glanville on guitar, Paul Crowley on bass, Phil Shay on drums, and Gordon Rowland on scrub board and sax, and all five members contribute vocals. Together, the band’s sound seamlessly blends African and Caribbean rhythms with rock, blues, and Cajun music.

The Historical Society’s Concerts on the Waterfront series run on Sunday afternoons, from June 29 through Aug 31, 2025, and this year’s theme is “Fabulous Folk”. Like all those in the series, this concert is free and open to the public. It’s held outdoors at the Battlefield, so remember to pack your picnic blanket or lawn chairs.

In case of bad weather, the concerts will be moved to the Parish Center at St. Andrew’s Church, which is located at the corner of East Main and Woolsey Streets. The Historical Society will announce if a concert’s being moved on its Facebook page on the afternoon of the concert.

For more information on the concert series, please visit the Concerts on the Waterfront event page on our website, the Sackets Harbor Historical Society’s website, or its Facebook page. You can also find highlights and entire performances from last year’s Concerts on the Waterfront series on the Historical Society’s YouTube channel.

We hope to see you at some, or ALL, of the concerts this summer!

*This concert is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and administered by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.
