2024 Concerts on the Waterfront
The Sackets Harbor Historical Society will continue its 2024 Concerts on the Waterfront series with Bryan Brundige and His Piggly Wigglies, performing on Sunday, July 28, from 3 to 5 pm, at the Sackets Harbor Sentinel Bandstand, located at 302 West Main Street.
**Please note that this concert is at a different location (the Sackets Harbor Bandstand) than normal, due to the North American War of 1812 Grand Tactical event being held at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield.
Hailing from Albany, Bryan Brundige and His Piggly Wigglies pay homage to a time when jazz, dance, and swing were in the spotlight. The band is dedicated to the art of the song and dancers around the world, and they’re sure to lift your spirit and get you moving and grooving!
The Historical Society’s Concerts on the Waterfront series run on Sunday afternoons, from June 30 through Sept 1, 2024, and this year’s theme is “Here Comes the Sun”. Like all those in the series, this concert is free and open to the public. It’s held outdoors at the Bandstand, so remember to pack your picnic blanket or lawn chairs.
In case of bad weather, the concerts will be moved to the Parish Center at St. Andrew’s Church, which is located at the corner of East Main and Woolsey Streets. The Historical Society will announce if a concert’s being moved on its Facebook page on the afternoon of the concert.
The concert by Bryan Brundige and His Piggly Wigglies is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and administered by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.
