Fall for Cross Stitch Class

The Sackets Harbor Visitor Center will host the class “Fall for Cross Stitch” on Sunday, Oct 6, from 1 pm to 4 pm, as part of the 2024 Sackets Harbor Quilt Show.
Vicki Wilson will lead this demonstration and “Make + Take” class, which will be a beginner’s autumn leaf cross stitch project.
The class costs $5, which includes the cost of the fabrics for the participants. The class is limited to 10 people, and it’s on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you’d like to register for “Fall for Cross Stitch,” please contact Hay Memorial Library by phone at 315-646-2228, by email, or visit the Library’s website.
The Sackets Harbor Quilt Show is a Hay Memorial Library Community Heritage Program, and the show will be on display for the community on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Oct 4, 5, and 6, at the (former) Union Hotel and the Sackets Harbor Visitor Center. The hours are:
- Friday, Oct 4, from noon to 5 pm,
- Saturday, Oct 5, from 10 am to 5 pm, and
- Sunday, Oct 6, from noon to 5 pm.
The theme for this year is “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” and all the quilts entered will feature circles in some fashion. The Library will offer $5 passports that allow visitors to see the quilts all three days. Passports are available at Hay Memorial Library and at the door at the (former) Union Hotel and the Visitor Center.
The Sackets Harbor Quilt Show is sponsored by Hay Memorial Library and made possible by the Village of Sackets Harbor. The event is supported by a grant from the Town of Hounsfield Committee for the Advancement of Tourism, as well as funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Office of the Governor and New York State Legislature, and administered by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.
