History and Acting Discussion at the Battlefield
The Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site will host a discussion with Craig Thornton on History and Acting on Wednesday, July 22, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, at the Battlefield’s Navy Yard.
A local playwright, screenwriter, and media personality, Thornton will lead this public program to discuss history and acting, finding truth in acting, and how characters are developed. While in Sackets Harbor, Thornton will also hold a workshop with the Battlefield site staff on sharing narratives and storylines with audiences, so they can improve the work they do for the public each year.
Craig Thornton currently serves as the director of Communications / Arts and Entertainment at WWNY TV 7 in Watertown, and he’s also an adjunct professor at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, in the TV, Radio, and Film Department.
