Saturday Crafts at the Pavilion

The Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site will host Make a Sailboat, a Saturday Crafts at the Pavilion event, on Saturday, July 8, from 10 am to noon, at the Battlefield Pavilion, located just off Hill Street (by the big red barn).

Paint a wooden sailboat for display in that special place in your home. Be inspired by the rich history of shipbuilding in Sackets Harbor, the US Navy’s Lake Ontario headquarters during the War of 1812.

The Saturday Crafts at the Pavilion series is new this year and is designed to engage children in creating a souvenir while learning a bit of history. The events and craft materials are free, and the public is welcome to attend.
