Youth Art Show

The Arts Association of Northern New York (AANNY) will kick off its 2025 season with a Youth Art Show on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 4, 5, and 6, at the Sackets Harbor Arts Center, at 119 West Main Street.

The title of this year’s Youth Art Show is “Climate Action: Inspiring Change Through Art,” and it encourages students in grades kindergarten through twelve to explore the impacts of Earth’s changing climate on people and places around the globe.

Students may submit three works of art to the show, measuring no larger than 9″ by 12″. The Arts Center will accept student submissions on Friday and Saturday, March 28 and 29, from 3 to 6 pm each day, or by appointment. The students’ art will be judged on creative expression, originality, skill, and interpretation of climate action.

This climate-themed show is sponsored by AANNY, and the association will award prizes in grade categories.

The Youth Art Show will be open for public viewing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm each day, at the gallery. The Arts Center will also host an award reception on Saturday, April 5, at 1 pm.
