Youth Art Show

The Arts Association of Northern New York (AANNY) will kick off its 2026 season with a Youth Art Show on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 17, 18, and 19, at the Sackets Harbor Arts Center, at 119 West Main Street.
The title of this year’s Youth Art Show is “Opposites Attract,” and it encourages students in grades kindergarten through twelve opposing concepts, such as nature and industry, positive and negative space, light and dark, old and new, and etc.
Students may submit three works of art to the show, and the Arts Center will accept student submissions on Friday, April 3, from 3 to 5 pm, or by appointment. The students’ art will be judged on creative expression, originality, skill, and interpretation of the theme, Opposites Attract.
The Youth Art Show is sponsored by AANNY, and the association will award prizes in grade categories.
The Youth Art Show will be open for public viewing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm each day, at the gallery. The Arts Center will also host an award reception on Saturday, April 18, at 1 pm.
