2024 Concerts on the Waterfront

The Sackets Harbor Historical Society will continue its 2024 Concerts on the Waterfront series with Grupo Pagán, performing on Sunday, July 7, from 3 to 5 pm, at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield, located at 504 West Main Street.

Based in Syracuse, Grupo Pagán is a Latin-American band that creates a high-energy, intoxicating sound with influences ranging from Santana to Shakira to Sadé and beyond. The band is led by Edgar Pagán, and the talented group of musicians have performed with Grammy-winning jazz flutist Dave Valentin, Spyro Gyra, Lou Gramm, B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, Bela Fleck, The Average White Band, Peter Cetera, Charo, and more.

The Historical Society’s Concerts on the Waterfront series run on Sunday afternoons, from June 30 through Sept 1, 2024, and this year’s theme is “Here Comes the Sun”. Like all those in the series, this concert is free and open to the public. It’s held outdoors at the Battlefield, so remember to pack your picnic blanket or lawn chairs.

In case of bad weather, the concerts will be moved to the Parish Center at St. Andrew’s Church, which is located at the corner of East Main and Woolsey Streets. The Historical Society will announce if a concert’s being moved on its Facebook page on the afternoon of the concert.

The Grupo Pagán concert is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and administered by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.
