Derby Day at the American Legion

The Sackets Harbor American Legion will host Derby Day, with a pulled pork buffet, live music and the Legion’s Queen of Hearts drawing, on Saturday, May 2, beginning at 1 pm, at its location at 209 Ambrose Street.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their derby hats in celebration of the Kentucky Derby race, which will be run that evening. The Legion invites everyone to come enjoy the Derby and have dinner with them.

Tickets for the Derby Day event are $15 per person, and the buffet includes pulled port, Swedish meatballs, baked beans, pasta salad, coleslaw, salt potatoes, and rolls. The Full Circle Band will perform from 3:30 to 6:30 pm, and the Legion’s Queen of Hearts drawing will be held at 4 pm.
