The Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site will host a presentation on Exploring Battlefield Landscapes Using Geophysics by two archaeologists from Fort Drum on Wednesday, July 19, from 1 to 3 pm, at the Battlefield Pavilion off Hill Street.
Fort Drum Archaeologists Laurie Rush and Karen Koekenberg will present this hands-on program and demonstration on the 211th anniversary of the First Battle of Sackets Harbor. The archaeologists will introduce participants to some of the technological tools used by archaeologists to study historic landscapes. Among the tools they’ll feature are:
