Saturday Crafts at the Navy Yard

The Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site will host Fly Kites, a Saturday Crafts at the Navy Yard event, on Saturday, Aug 5, from 10 am to noon, at the Battlefield Navy Yard, located just off West Main Street.

Pick up a free kite kit at the Navy Yard, while supplies last, and enjoy flying your kite on the Battlefield lawn, while learning from the reenactors in the Battlefield Grove more about how those who served here lived and conducted their daily duties.

The Saturday Crafts series at the Battlefield is new this year and is designed to engage children in creating a souvenir while learning a bit of history. The events and craft materials are free, and the public is welcome to attend.
